Primecare (North Wales) Ltd is beginning its first year of establishing its Carbon Footprint. We aim to collect data, research alternatives and analyse our findings over the next 12 months, from November 2024 to November 2025 will be issued next year for the first time.
Currently we state that we do not have Baseline emissions for Scope 1, 2 or 3.

Smart Meter is installed to evidence usage of the above.
Primecare (North Wales) Ltd on first investigation appears to have a low carbon footprint. The office is run from the manager’s home.
Staff meetings, training courses are primarily via Zoom.
Mileage and staff travel is very efficient and is within a working small radius.
Future Data Analyse: to investigate and consider who how things can be done more efficiently. How to ensure the team are compliant and are actively working towards a Carbon Efficient Future as far as is practicably possible.

PCNW LTD is committed to being carbon net zero or earlier by 2050.
As a micro-Ltd company, we have an annual turnover below 200k.
PCNW LTD employs under 12 staff in total.
However, PCNW LTD is passionate about protecting our environment and knowledgeable about global warming.
All businesses and citizens must reduce their impact on the effects of climate change in whatever way is possible.
The 2024 Environmental Policy below sets out how we can reduce our carbon footprint. It shows how we consult the team to ensure changes, no matter how small, can contribute positively to Carbon Reduction.
2024 Environmental Policy; Reducing our Carbon Footprint
PCNW LTD requires employees to report concerns relating to environmental hazards to the Registered Manager.
PCNW LTD encourages all employees to suggest how we can reduce our impact on the environment and will implement suggestions that are viable.
The Registered Manager is responsible for ensuring our environmental responsibilities are met.
PCNW LTD is committed to implementing this Policy and the practices it sets out.
Procedure
Environmental Hazards
If an employee identifies potential or actual environmental hazards, they must report these without delay to the Registered Manager.
The Registered Manager must investigate and manage the concerns raised and inform the employee raising concerns of the outcome.
The Registered Manager must take action to manage risks and must ensure a full report is made of all management action taken.
Employee Suggestions for Environmental Sustainability
All employees are encouraged to identify areas for improvement in relation to environmental sustainability and to discuss these with the Registered Manager.
The Registered Manager must consider each suggestion made to see if it is viable and able to be implemented.
The Registered Manager must provide feedback to employees who make suggestions.

All staff are responsible for:

The Registered Manager is responsible for:

Ensuring that this Environmental Policy is implemented.

Ensuring resources are used responsibly and identifying green alternatives.

Investigating and managing concerns relating to environmental hazards.

Considering all suggestions made relating to minimising environmental impact.
Breaches of Policy
For employees, failure to adhere to the Environmental Policy could lead to possible disciplinary action being taken.
For others, e.g. contractors, their individual relationship with the organisation may be terminated.
Team suggestions 2024
Care workers shall consider how their working day effects our local environment. How we can make small differences with regards to our carbon footprint.

Recycling and Waste must be processed according to the councils’ guidelines. Carers must be trained to ensure this is achieved and the correct recycling procedure is followed at multi occupancy builds as well as individual homes.

PCNW LTD is committed to alternative modes of transport when employing new staff. It is possible to employ possible walk, bike, E-bike to calls. This greatly reduces emissions from petrol, diesel cars and therefore our carbon footprint as a business.

Don’t let cars idle. Turn off engines in heavy traffic or when waiting in cars for any reason.

Management to proactively use mileage from client to client efficiently.

The office is mindful of how supplies are ordered and delivered so that our carbon footprint is reduced at all times.

Use of electric/hybrid vehicles by staff is gaining momentum amongst the team.

Bicycles and electric bikes are used by some staff.
Monitoring and Review
This Policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if necessary due to legislative or regulatory requirements.

Overview: we cannot predict what our emissions will be over the next 12 months. They may increase if we expand or decrease due to other factors including efficiency and sustainability of current and future efforts.

Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard[1] and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting[2].
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard[3].
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
